Service to take place in St Augustine's Church, Kirkby on Thursday 11th May at 1:00pm following a private burial. Family flowers only please by request. I met you in 1966, I was 16 and I was your office junior/trainee journalist. My first job, you taught me such a lot. I remember accidentally smashing the China tea set when I slipped on the stairs. I was sure that you would sack me but you didn’t. You just said “the tea set can be replaced but you can’t”, you were so kind to me. You were a gentleman and a gentle man. You and Jean were my role models. Thank you Peter for opening up the world of work to me.
I will never forget you.
